As you may or may not have heard, Steven Page of the Barenaked Ladies was arrested in Fayetteville NY on drug charges.
My thought when I first heard the news this morning:
What the hell was he doing in Central New York (otherwise (falsely) known as "Upstate" to all you downstaters)?! Way to put Central New York on the map! Personally, I'd much rather have Syracuse University's sports teams put us on the map (and I'm not saying that just because I will shortly be an SU student).
The whole thing is just a little surreal - Fayetteville is no more than a half hour away from where I live.
'S just odd. Or ood, depending. ;0)
