Everyone longs to love someone, to be loved by someone, to have a deep relationship with another, to be loved thoroughly and exclusively. But God to a Christian says, "No…not until you are satisfied and fulfilled and content with living and being loved by me alone and giving yourself totally and unreservingly to me, having an intensely personal and unique relationship with me alone can you be content with the one I have for you!" He loves us and until we discover that only in Him is our satisfaction to be found, we will not be capable of the perfect human relationship that He has planned for us. We will never be united with anyone until we are united with Christ…exclusive of anyone, of anything else, exclusive of any other desires or longings. He wants us to stop planning, stop wishing and allow Him to give us the most thrilling plan existing…one that we cannot imagine. He wants us to have the best. We just have to allow Him to bring it to us. We must just keep watching Him, expecting the greatest things, and keep learning and listening to things He will tell us. WE MUST WAIT! Not be anxious. Not worry! Not look at the things we think we want. If we don't keep looking up to Him, we will miss what He has to show us. And then when we are ready, He'll surprise us with a love far more wonderful than we could ever dream of. Until we are ready and until the one He has for us is ready and until we are both satisfied exclusively with Him and the life He’s prepared for us, we won’t be able to experience the love that exemplifies our relationship with Him and this “perfect love.” He wants us to have this most wonderful love, He wants us to see in the flesh a picture of our relationship with Him and to enjoy materially and concretely the everlasting union of beauty and perfection and love that He offers us. KNOW that He loves you. He is almighty. Believe and be satisfie in Him.
“For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.”
~Romans 8:24-25
