i'm eating a rocket muffin from macrina and it is quite delicious. i found a bag of weed outside on a table! wtf!
i've been comissioned to be a housewife until i start camp at the end of the month... i'm in charge of all the laundry, cleaning, dishes, and dinners. last night i made really good hamburger soup and tonight it's tortilla soup and orange poppy seed cake. this is a good excuse for me to try out a bunch of recipes, especially some stuff from the nigella lawson cookbook simone got me for xmas.
some of my caritas friends have been writing mass emails to all the staff telling about their adventures and new lives all around the country. they are profound and eloquent. i have so much i want to say to them and share with them, but i'm pretty sure it'll be a downer of an email. i never thought i'd miss a group of people so much. my life since i've returned to seattle is pretty repetative... do the crossword, fuck around on the internet, do the dishes, make dinner, watch jeopardy, unpack my stuff, play with phil..... everyday everyday everyday. so i've just got to plan more things to do before i lose my mind. tim and i sat in pagliacci's last night reading the stranger intensely for like an hour. one thing i'm very happy about is that i can finally start going to shows again. the sasquatch lineup is FUCKING SWEET and i just bought tix to tv on the radio, whom i've been dying to see for a few years now.
