Interesting thoughts.
Well, I've been obsessing over the very little scenes we get of Faramir & Eowyn in the Extended DVD. Still so very disappointed, though.
You just have to love how Faramir gazes upon Eowyn...absolutely priceless/touching. :D Awesome work by David. And Miranda. ^^
Has anyone gone through the commentaries? Heh, they're quite fun and informative. I don't mean to disappoint anyone, buuuut...
1) David says that there was a planned F/E sex scene in a bath. *shocked* At the moment, I don't have the DVDs with me, so I can't get his exact words. Run through the cast commentary, ish very fun. :D
2) PJ says that he made epilogue scenes (in the directors/writers commentary) that included what happened to Legolas, Gimli, and Faramir & Eowyn, to name a few. He cut them because he wanted the end of the film to center around the hobbits (because it'd make sense to begin and end w/ them), and figured that people just wanted the film to end...even in the Extended Edition? Psh.
Okay, the info may not be totally accurate, but I've been thinking about it all day! Won't get the DVDs back for some time, so if anyone could clarify for me, I'd appreciate it.
Just thought I'd mention it. I find point #1 most...uh, ear-catching. ^^'
