Okay, so after talking (via LJ) a bit, I already feel better about my PhD stuff. Sometimes my posts do consist of me going 'Splat - dumps brains on flist', but hell it actually helped a lot this time. I have somehow created my own little emotional support network over here.
Stargate SG1 season 9 finale reaction = *meep/hides*
A few reactions in dot point:
-- OMG! Arthur, Camelot, the Holy Grail! I love this show!
-- So, the ending! Yeah meep! I can only assume since they went through all that stuff in Cammelot and didn't get anything, that 'Arthur' will return to save their asses next season.
-- Cameron + mud + sword = joyous squeeing Starrylizard. (Actually could someone make me that icon? Cameron + mud + sword = SQUEE! I will adore you forever!)
-- Daniel had (a) intellectual things to translate and get excited over and (b) got to read and decipher lots of books while teasing Cameron at the same time. Eeeee!
-- Daniel: It's not magic *is beamed up* ...and it happens twice! Hee! That's the bestest.
-- Vala is baaaaack! Woot!
-- Poor Sam stuck floating about. I hope that means she helps Arthur to reverse time and resurrect the others...or whatever is to happen next season. The poor gal has had a lack of action this season in the episodes she was in and I still think she's awesome, so it makes me sad.
Season as a whole in dot point:
-- New enemy - freaky, demonic, SGA-related sort-of - Tick
-- New team member - Cameron - hell yes - Tick
-- Genetically modified to be addictive corn, flesh-eating scarab-like bugs (and the fact the they watched Starship troopers afterwards!) - Nice - Tick
-- Indianna Jones-style treasure troves related to Arthur and the Round Table and Camelot and the Holy Grail and... (woot!)- Tick
-- Daniel/Cameron snarkage - likes it a lot - Tick
-- Vala - I love CB and Vala is just such a cool character - Tick
-- Teal'c is kinda boring this season - cross
-- Sam doesn't seem to get to do much - cross
-- overall very nice - I am so converted back to watching SG1 right now - many, many Ticks!!
Yokiem and I sent our postcards for Daw today. I hope David gets stacks and stacks of them. :D
Did anyone see the Great fan mail exchange?? Yokiem and I got all excited, but no one wants to play. *sigh* Oh well.
I'm sure I am missing many things, but oh well. More for another post and another time.
