Training (SGA, John and Teyla, gen, drabble)

Apr 13, 2007 20:41

A while back, I did atlantis_lvw, which was really fun and I was really stoked to make it to the end. And make it almost entirely on gen fiction too, I might add.

Anyway, the one week I wigged out on was the week for drabbles. I believe the prompt was "colours." I did actually write a drabble, but I wasn't sure in the end if it was enough to do with the theme, and since I really am not all that good at drabbles... yeah I completely flaked and used my pass that week.

I found that drabble today and fixed it up a bit and thought I may as well post it. So, here it is. Make of it what you will. :)

Training

Light floods through the stained glass windows, landing golden on burnished brown skin and highlighting sweat that slides over taut muscle.

Teyla and Sheppard are locked in mock battle, their bodies gliding in an intricate dance; the only sounds the clatter of sticks, grunts of exertion and the whoosh of sudden controlled movement.

Teeth flash white against brown, a smirk before two bodies spin and stick meets skin.

Sweat drips from short hair, landing only to slide along a muscled forearm, over slight wrists and then down toward a hand that’s pressed beneath his chin. Green eyes meet brown.

“Again!”
