I've been so busy this week! And literally all the free time that I had was spent working on this picspam, haha. I feel so behind on the internets.

I have so many other things to update about(I STOOD ON THE GRAND STAIRCASE OF THE MOTHERFUCKING TITANIC LAST WEEKEND...a recreation, but still!), but I'll leave that for tomorrow. For now...

Much of the reactions I've heard about this seen from many people are that this scene is an example of Deadpan!Eric.
*facepalm* Must not comment late at night. Aside from the other ways I butchered this sentence; hi my name's Melissa and I understand homophones. :P

If you consider the fact that he's been around for over a thousand years and has NEVER been in love (Pam said as much in the books) that's really telling. That's just a heck of a long time to not really let anyone in. It might not just scare him, it's probably one of his biggest fears.
I really think Eric has serious control issues. And falling in love is the easiest way to lose control, even lose control of yourself.

Damn it! You aren't wrong, but phrased this way, with the exception of the thousand year old part, this sounds significantly like my ex (even so far as the name, I'm sad that I just can't get a "Team Eric" shirt)!!! Let's ignore the idea that I might have an unhealthy type for the moment....it's ok, though, because vampire Eric will get over it, my ex obviously hasn't. :P

I actually haven't seen HIMYM, despite loving Alyson and NPH. I didn't get on board when it started, and I haven't gotten around to getting my hands on the earlier seasons yet.
