going to the chapel and we're gonna get married
this weekend has been awesome! it's fall break and i got to come up to buffalo for my cousin's wedding and it was beautiful.
it was a catholic wedding which was interesting to me because in case you didn't know i'm not catholic. but it also had a very large dash of them. the song that played while the bridal party walked it was "goin to the chapel", for jen they did play the wedding marching, for communion they played "somewhere out there" and for the recessional they played "zip-i-de-do-dah". it was very cute. jen looked beautiful, and they both looked so happy.
the reception was a ton of fun. there was a lot of dancing and drinking and good times all around. of couse because i can't seem to avoid it anywhere they was one very awkward moment. my mom had left to take my grandfater back to the hotel and my dad and sister were dancing together so i was sitting by myself at our table. all of a sudden this guy came up to me and was like 'someone told me come and find you' and i was okay who? and he says one of the girls in the orange dresses. (on a side note my cousin was one of the bridesmaid and she was wearing an orange dress, it wasn't as bad as it sounds). and i asked him if it was jenny and he said yes. so i walk over to the dance floor where she was and she sees me and mouths for me to dance with this guy. so i turned to him and was like i think i'm supposed to dance with you and he said 'yeah i know'. to which i say...why didn't you just ask me to dance then? so i dance with him and introduced myself and found out he was the brother of the other bridesmaid. and then he was just silent. i kept trying to engage him in conversation and he was just silent. it was painfully awkward.
but other than that it was wonderfully fun. i've also gotten to see a bunch of my friends up here which has been really cool. of course i haven't done any homework yet...not good. well i guess that's it for now. amazing that i actually updated huh?
