some days good things really do happen
okay so today totally made up for the past few weeks of complete suckage.
this morning i woke up to go to class and while checking my e-mail noticed that i had received an e-mail from hobby (my humanities professor) about my paper i turned in last week. in case you didn't know i was freaking out about this paper. i wrote it in one day and didn't even finish the last chapter of the book. i did not think i was going to do good on it. while most of the comments were about ways to improve my actual writing he did call my thesis 'feisty, focused, and fun'. so here's the kicker...totally got a 95. he thought it was a great paper and was really impressed. to make it even better i went up to his office this morning to drop off drinks for our last day of class party and he was like let's talk about your paper. so i went in and sat down and he starts going on and on about how good it was and how well i know my freud. he said if he teaches hum 324 again he might just have me come in and teach the section on freud and civilizations and it's discontents (the book i wrote my paper on) and that even if i never take another class with him, should i ever need a recommendation for something for something he would be more than happy to write it for me. i couldn't believe it. then to top even that during class he said he was so impressed with our paper that he thought giving us an exam would be over kill so our final is canceled. HOLY SHIT!!!
and to put the cherry on top of an overall good day i have officially finished my twenty page paper of death and now am pretty much free until my first exam which isn't until NEXT tuesday.
*sigh* life is good.
