Some cool stuff going on this week. Figured it's worth an update.

A) I was an extra on ER yesterday. First of all, Warner Brothers does not take as good care of you as whomever is producing Lincoln Heights. The food was nowhere near as good, and they stuck us in a warehouse. But I can't complain; it was still a great experience. Second of all, they get some weirdos at ER. Genuinely socially inept weirdos. Like, I am well aware that I am a complete nerd, but I think I was one of the coolest people in the room. I mean, I can have an actual conversation with people! Geez! So... the cool thing about working at ER was that they gave most of the extras wardrobe; all the background nurses, doctors, gown patients (who essentially get to sleep in beds the entire shoot,) and people they want to put blood on, all get wardrobe. Also, if they are making you bloody, they have to give a reason for you to be bloody correct? So guess who got to go to makeup as well?

The story I told everyone is that I was in a really bad car accident. I think it holds some merit. Oh, another thing: guess who stood a foot away from Stamos? He looks crazy old! And I mean, he is. Still, it was very odd. Oh, and we didn't talk, but we did have an unspoken conversation. That is, he looked at me and smiled. Here's how it went down...
Strung out druggie character in script: You stupid bitch. I'll cut you! And your mom! And your dog! And I'll cut you. And you. And you.
Stamos: *sings under his breath* You're gonna love meeeee.
Lauryn: *snorts* *tries to laugh quietly, but is unsuccessful*
Stamos:*looks up and smiles at Lauryn*

B) Christina Woodard, (my new favorite teacher at EDGE) is starting to recognize me. The other day, when I went up to say thank you after her class, she gave me a compliment of something we did, and then added, "I'm really enjoying having you in class regularly." Sort of felt amazing because that means I'm now a "regular." Now my only wish is that I could make friends with some of the other dancers there. Oh well, I'll take it step by step.

C) He IMed me last night. Sort of feeling on top of the world with that one. I'm not the one who caved. Ha! Feels amazing.

D) Been doing really well about this 'going to the gym' thing. Proud of myself.

E) I need to get a perm! Dear Lord, Almighty!

F) Speaking of the Lord Almighty... I went to church on Sunday. The place I went to reminded me of my church back home so much, it was unbelievable. I believe the place I went to was a non-denominational church, but that's fine because technically that's what Brookhollow is as well. Plus, I genuinely don't think I have EVER seen a more diverse church in my life. Soooo many ethnicities were represented in that building: Black, White, Asian, Indian, Latino. It was great. And I wasn't able to go because I had work, but apparently every two weeks, they hold a "Hip-Hop Service." I'm really interested in going to that sometime and seeing how they do it.

G) And speaking of hip hop... Kanye or 50?
I guess that's all I have to say...
