Live from Hong Kong, part 2

Right.

So, after a fantastic nights sleep, I'm most of the way sorted into the new timezone.

Doing a bit of checking / lazy couple first hours before heading out to wander in CWB a touch and then meeting up with a friend for lunch after her interview.

After that it's back to the tailor for a fitting.

Things I managed to do in my dazed state last night:

- Trip over the same curb 3 times
- Forget my Rogers SIM in a friends purse (I'm on a 3 SIM right now)
- Run down the laptop battery very quick and have to borrow an adapter (the idiot at the wan chai computer centre was trying to sell me a NA adapter for China, so I left).

Things I remember and remember enjoying:
- Drinks at Stauntons with nibbles
- Dinner at Peak Cafe (tho I had breakfast ;-) )

Hotel-wise, I'm at the YWCA Garden View in the midlevels; This is my first stay here, but I would come back. The rooms are clean, not huge, but in good shape (newly refurbished) and they have enough room that you don't feel like you're in a shoebox. More importantly, the rates are reasonable and it's quiet at night.

Booking.com reservation was made, but apparently garbled name which they sorted when lotus_gal dropped off a SIM for me.

Would recommend it if you're looking for a decent place in Hong Kong with out having to pay an arm and a leg.

From HKG, Peace, out.
