Well, since I did a friending meme and I happened to get a lot of new friends, this introduction post seems like the perfect thing to do. I'm just usually not very good with these kinds of things, hah, so if I miss something that you might want to know, please! Ask away! I'm pretty much an open book and won't really shy away from any questions.
I'm going to put this behind a cut because...I ramble...ALOT and I have pictures (and as I get them, I will add more). So YAAAY.
My name is Kristina, I'm 26 and I live in New Mexico. I was born and raised here and have no intention of leaving because I love it so much. My Dad is from Panama and my Mom was born in New York - they met because my Grandpa was in the Air Force and was stationed at the Canal Zone. I'd like to say they're happily married and we're one big happy family but I'm not going to lie to you. Parents are divorced, and they are decent to one another.
I have a younger (yet MUCH taller) brother named Anthony who I couldn't be more proud of. Though he dropped out of high school, he got his GED and is currently attending classes at a community college. The real reason I admire him? He moved in with my grandparents and has since been there for them in times when I couldn't. When I chose to go to school in a city that was four hours away - he stayed here and was the backbone to my family.
At the age of 11, I lost my Uncle (on my mother's side) to cancer. Cancer has since claimed the lives of many of my family and to this day, I do what I can to support research behind it. My Uncle was...everything to me and losing him was very hard on me and though I've "moved on", to this day I don't think I've ever really recovered though I try by doing everything to make him, my family, and myself proud.
My best friend/sister is Nicole, aka blue_icy_rose - I can truthfully say that no one really knows me better and we started our friendship on the basis of me seeing a magazine that had Spike (James Marsters) on it and asking who the hot guy was. Let's just say my interests haven't changed, lol. From there it went to who was better, Backstreet Boys or *NSYNC...not sure if anyone ever won that. LOL.
I'm obsessed with anything/everything Disney related. It goes back to my Uncle buying me my first Disney movies and since then...I haven't stopped and I literally adore it. It's always going to put a smile on my face.
Shows I watch include Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, NCIS, Buffy, Gilmore Girls, FRIENDS (OH MY GOSH FRIENDS = LOVE), The First 48 (I can't help it. I'm addicted), Franklin and Bash, Necessary Roughness, and a whole lot more but yeah...
My favorite things to read? Harry Potter. The Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon - if you have NEVER read her. I highly recommend them, not only because the stories are amazing and witty and just...guh. But because Sherrilyn herself is an amazing woman. <3 Romance novels. I love me the trashy smutty ones too :) I was an English major in college and though I love to read, I'll be honest...I can't really get into some of the 'classics'.
My guilty pleasure? WWE Wrestling. Yes, its fake - to a degree. Yes, it's probably really jsut stupid and there's some things that I'm starting to not like about it. But for SOME reason, I can't stop watching it. I think I need help.
I roleplay, though it tends to be wrestling-based. I write, though I haven't written in a few years and I am always having an inner struggle with myself on if I actually like it. And I play video games, mostly with the Wii (like Epic Disney or Harry Potter LEGO - LOVE IT).
Last, but not least, though I'm currently not in a serious relationship - I have recently gotten out of one that lasted on and off for about 7 years. We met online, he's still a friend of mine and I still love him. I just don't know if that's enough anymore so you may hear about him. AND - I have two dogs (though one is my Dad's and that's a story for another time) named Zeus and Bella. Zeus is my Dad's and Bella, short for Izabella (and its not from Twilight) is mine. I adore them, they are my 'kids' so to speak and I treat them as such. I spoil them...but not ALOT.
