So I normally love Bruno Mars & cheesy shit, but this song was a little disappointing, especially after I read the lyrics. I feel like I'm one of the very few people who values marriage seriously.

Love that it has a 60s/70s pop rock vibe (beatles/beach boys-esque). It's almost like a modern day "chapel of love" song. The church bells in the background are excellent. And Bruno mars is just absolutely adorable, with his youthfully "innocent" voice singing about marriage.
Now on that note, I hate how juvenile the lyrics are. I do not believe that marriage is anything near dumb. I'm not Britney Spears, Kim Kardashian, Jessica Simpson, etc, who gets married out of boredom or whatever, and then change my mind & divorce. I understand that sometimes marriages don't always work out & divorce might seem necessary, but now it seems like such a casual thing that people decide to do as an easy way out rather than fix whatever issues there may be. However, the problem shouldn't arise after the marriage, but before it. Be sure that the person you CHOOSE is the person you will commit to for the rest of your life. And be wise when choosing. Give yourself some time to know and understand your selected partner. As cute as Khoe & Lamar are, one month of dating or whatever is too quick to be getting married. You can't figure out if the other is psycho or not within a month (sometimes it takes years). If you can't do this, don't get fucking married.

Maybe I'm just too traditional with this whole marriage thing. The bride should wear white. (Maybe even a veil, but idk how that would look with a pants suit.) the groom should suit up. Wedding rings, the basic vows that say "richer, poorer, sickness, health, good time & bad, death do you part..." walking up & down the center aisle, officiated by either a minister or judge. Well, that's the wedding at least. After that, you're a bonded pair and everything should be done in/with consideration to the other, especially if it's something that will affect the pair as a whole.

My final thought: get married if you're absolutely certain that the person you choose to marry is the one to whom you will respectfully commit your life and love till the end of your dying days.
