English is the official language of Arizona (AZ103): Yes, I do support that, probably on a nationwide basis as well, paired with ESL courses.

There will not be state-sponsored $1M lottery of voters in Arizona (AZ200): because random redistribution of earned income can only go so far.

Cali and Oregon voted down the parental notification + 48 hour waiting period for minors (CA85, OR43): Yes, let's legislate time for the parents to kidnap their child and save her from the evil abortion.

Colorado, Nevada, and South Dakota failed to legalize marijuana, medical or otherwise (CO44, NV7, SD4), which is disappointing but not particularly surprising.

Michigan no longer gets to do affirmative action (MI2). Does this overturn Grutter v. Bollinger? I haven't actually been following this.

Missouri protects embryonic stem cell research and bans human cloning (M2). Great, now how 'bout funding?
Ohio did not legalize slot machines (OH3), because clearly gambling is evil.

South Dakota did not approve the legislation banning all abortions (SD6): Does this overrule the legislation, or just fail to provide additional support? Either way, thank God.

Minimum wage raised in AZ, MI, MT, NV, OH.: Interesting; I don't particularly care much what states I don't plan on living/working in do, long as it ain't federal.

Same-sex marriage banned in CI, ID, SC, SD, TN, VA, WI (and AZ became the first state not to pass a proposed ban); CO didn't legalize domestic partnerships. We all know how I feel about this.

Rick Santorum is out of office, which is a relief because he's a little bit crazy. Lieberman kept CT, which is nifty because political parties are overrated. Also, much as I love San Francisco, I'm sort of afraid of Nancy Pelosi. This is gonna be an interesting couple of years...
