I'm reminded of my own awakening to magic and religion. At one point, the best comparison I could make is that I thought I was about to do a magical girl transformation. :)

I'd go with the advice from ysabetwordsmith; it sounds on the same track I'd suggest, but much more experienced.

I've been at this crap for eighteen years. Dear gods. O_O It's like... I dunno what this is like. My last awakening was at the age of 15.

Let me see...one awakening on 'kinness, one on magic, one on sexuality. That's all in about the last ten to twelve years.

So, it sounds like you're QUITE due.

Oh yeahhh. I didn't even think about my sexuality--that was about 3-4 years ago.

And my last major awakening... and it was seriously mindblowing... was last year. That was when various events started which made me realize my True Will.
