Kyo had just flopped down on his bed after a long, luxurious shower (he would've asked Yuki to join him had the Rat not disappeared off to some place again) when three soft knocks sounded on his door.
Hmph...Can’t I get any peace around here?
Scowling, Kyo swung open the door and his face immediately softened when he saw Yuki standing there.
"Where did you go?" Kyo asked, stepping aside to let Yuki in.
"Shopping with Honda-san," Yuki answered, perching on the edge of Kyo's bed as Kyo closed and locked the door.
Kyo draped himself back onto the bed, his arms comfortable encircling Yuki, resting his chin on Yuki's light shoulder.
"So what brings you here now?" Kyo asked silkily, wondering why Yuki didn't just kiss him already.
Yuki hesitated, caution flickering in his eyes, before they hardened again with resolve. "While I was waiting for Honda-san, I saw this in a magazine, and it looked kind of promising...I was hoping we could try it."
Curiosity piqued, Kyo accepted the magazine in Yuki's hands and flipped it open.
The top of the page proclaimed 10 Truths Your Significant Other Needs to Know About You. The two accompanying pages were blank and lined, assumingly for each of them to write down their 10 truths.
Kyo scoffed. "This is so corny."
Yuki faltered. "I just...thought we could try it...It might help..."
"Our relationship is fine," Kyo said firmly.
"Fine," Yuki said softly, and remained quiet. Kyo regretted his words almost instantly when he saw the disappointment and sadness reflected on Yuki's face.
"Oh, fine!" Kyo burst out. "I'll do the stupid thing."
Yuki looked up and grinned at him, and Kyo felt that it just might be worth it, to fill out 10 stupid truths, in return to see Yuki smile.

15 minutes later
"This is so stupid!" Kyo exclaimed for the fifth time.
"I know," Yuki replied wearily. "But I think it's intriguing, so can you just shut up and finish it?"
Kyo bristled. "Are you telling me to shut up?"
"Do I need to kiss you and make sure you stay shut up?"
"That sounds appealing..."
"No. Keep on working."
"Do I get a kiss if I finish it?" Kyo pouted.
"It depends on what you write." Yuki could never resist Kyo's pout. It was too adorable for words.
"Hai, hai..."
--
45 minutes later
"I'm done!" Yuki said as he finished whatever he had been writing with an embellishment, and neatly folded the paper in two.
Kyo yawned. "I was done ages ago. Here."
They exchanged papers, and the room lapsed into silence as each of them read what the other had written.

Kyo's paper
1. I think I loved you before I even knew what love meant. We were what, six years old?
2. I've always thought your name was beautiful, too ironic for words, and that you're the complete opposite of what your name means.
3. When Akito banned me from ever interacting with you again, I tried to fight her and broke three ribs. That's why I disappeared for two months when we were eight.
4. That lumpy Christmas present you received when you were fourteen, and it held a journal - I know it was girly, and I didn't put my name on it, but I hope you liked it.
5. I'm not denying that I purposely try to scare away your fangirl club when they get too close to you.
6. When Tohru first came, I tried to set you two up, hoping that you would be happy. And then I realized how sad and heartbroken I would be, so I gave up.
7. Your eyes are so expressive. You can read almost anything in them, they're so beautiful, and they're such a unique shade and color. Just like you.
8. When I kissed you last Christmas, and I blamed it on too much alcohol, you were right when you said that I didn't drink. I was perfectly sober and kissed you because you looked beautiful that Christmas.
9. I still think this paper is stupid and I'm writing all sorts of sap that I'm not supposed to be writing, and I'm not used to writing. But they're true, I guess. I'm definitely getting a kiss when this is all over.
10. I love you, I've always loved you, and I'll keep on loving you forever.

Yuki's paper
1. Back when we were only six, when I just met you, I knew that you were perfect, too perfect to be described in words.
2. Even though you're the Cat, and you "don't belong", I've never discriminated against you. I've always thought that being the Cat was just who you are, and I embraced it.
3. I never told you about how Akito would beat me whenever I was forced to go visit her. That's why I wouldn't let you see me sometimes for long periods of time, because I was ashamed at letting you see the bruises and cuts she would give me. I knew you would tell me to fight back, but I was too cowardly to.
4. That time when I almost burned down the kitchen when we were fifteen, it was because I was trying to bake cookies as a surprise Valentine's Day present for you.
5. I'm not denying that I get jealous when I see how you've attracted a large fan club all by yourself.
6. I acted coldly to you when Tohru came, because I hoped that since she liked cats, she would be perfect for you. But the first time I saw the two of you talking together, my heart hurt and I regretted all I had done.
7. You're beautiful, in every way, in every shape, and in every form. I know I've said this before, but I want to say it again so you know, and you'll always remember.
8. I snuck into your room last New Year's, after you had gone to bed, and at midnight, I softly kissed you and said "Happy New Year's."
9. Every time I kiss you, I try to convey to you how much I love you, but it never seems to be enough.
10. I love you, I've always loved you, and I'll keep on loving you forever.
