my birthday, in the end, turned out wonderfully. i just realized that i didn't talk about the awesome/scary/crazy/great-ish ness of my friends that was the beginning of my first ever birthday away from massachusetts/not being a teenager. well, my actual birth time is 2:10 am. so, as i am peacefully slumbering all curled up in my bazillion blankets, snuggling into my gazillion pillows, hugging my one and only man (mr. teddy bear himself), i am suddenly awoken at exactly 2:10 in the morning on the day of november 27th by a stampede of antelope. actually, it was toph, bryce, rach, and melissa. they had come to "surprise me". they surprised me all right. i almost peed my pants. i was about to kill whatever family member let them in, when i realized that i had made the monumental mistake of giving toph a spare key ages ago. i told him all i wanted for my birthday was that key back. i am going to have it smelted.
then, in the afternoon my family had a little mini-celebration for me, with cake and everything. then, a bunch of people stopped by after that. i got some good stuff, including great books, an amazing poster, etc. it was fun. then, i had to work at 4:30. i got there and rondalyn (who's gotten so big she's waddling now. ha.) told me that i had to clock in, sign in my till, and go in the back with her, 'cause all the managers were back there and they needed to see us right away. i was thinking "huh", and then when she said that we had a complaint against us i was thinking "wtF?". but back i went. the managers were back there all right. and so was a half dozen cupcakes. with candles. and a cake. with candles. and a card made out of a blockbuster dvd insert. and a half dozen balloons. and a present. it was so sweet. i almost died. i love my bbv family.
i also received numerous phone calls/text messages/ims/lj comments wishing me a tremedously amazing birthday, so thank ya'll to for that.
i just finished off a project. i had to write a research paper on a composer for music appreciation. it had to be written in first person, and i have to do a presentation for it tomorrow. it was actually way fun, 'cause i did jim morrison and i heart him.
i am starting to second guess myself about staying here. again. then i think of what my friends were like on my birthday and i think i am right. grrr. i need to think this out. it's frustrating.
i went to wal*mart today and bought the sandlot and ice age for only $15 with some of my b-day money. i also ordered bridget jones's diary special edition (my regular copy busted), and i'm fixin' to buy shrek 2 and aladdin special edition soon---both for only $20. i love having money i can spend guilt free. i am only spending half of it, though. the other half is for my [hopeful] trip to nyc next summer.
all right, good enough. i am gonna go watch a bit of my sex and the city dvd, practice my speech, read harry potter, and get some sleep.
later gators. <3 amy
