Pooped.

The last few days have been a roller coaster for me.
On Saturday I went to the German-Swiss border and saw an awesome castle, huge mountains, and tons of snow. Good day.
Sunday I scored some weed from a friend of mine and smoked all day instead of studying for my exams. Good day, bad day.
Monday I took my Spanish test. I didn't study for it because it's Spanish for beginners, and I've taken it already. Apparently it didn't stick as well as I thought it would. Bad day.
That night I got drunk instead of studying. Bad Lindsay, bad night.
Yesterday I woke up at 11:30 and studied German Grammar til that same hour at night. Should have been a good, fulfilling day, but....
Today I took my 2 German tests and I'm pretty sure I did horribly. Although, to be fair, one of them was total bullshit and no one could have done well on it. Bad morning.
I went through the whole day with my head hanging low, until I bumped into my Italian teacher.
She initiated conversation with me, and what she had to say changed my outlook. Today and for life.
She started by telling me I did very well on my exam (which I took last week.)
She said she can tell I get frustrated in class and that she thinks it's because I'm a perfectionist (which is true in some respects.)
Then she told me that she's impressed with me because she can tell I understand her when she speaks Italian in class, and that I shouldn't worry so much if there are a few things I DON'T understand. She asked me why I'm so preoccupied with getting good grades. I said I didn't know. Then she told me that good grades don't matter. They just don't, she said. What matters is that you're happy and that you have fun.
After that, I went with her to our classroom (we were getting our grades today.)
We had the oral part of our exam (haha, laugh it up), and then she gave me a 1,1 for the class. A 1 is the highest grade you can get here. I was totally surprised. It's funny how someone you hardly know can change your entire mood and the way you look at things. Now I'm waiting for my Italian friend, Betta, to come smoke with me. After that, I'll take a shower, pregame at a friend's apartment, and go to the party our school is throwing, which, for those of you who don't remember me saying so, is like a school dance only you don't have to dress up, they have good music, and drinks are 1 Euro apiece. Good day. Very good day.
