The Fest

So yesterday was the ozzfest opening day in Hartford, and I was there because Tim will be in florida for the mass one, so it was Hartford or nothing.
Around 8:30 we leave the house and after a nice and long drive with some pit stops, we arrive there right as God Forbid left the stage, which sucked because it would've been good to see them. Next up was Unearth, who was as expected, wicked good. Next up was Every Time I Die, but because they suck, we went and explored the village of the damned, where Tim did a pull up contest and won a free shirt and key thing. So then we go back for Lacuna Coil, who was good, and they played Tight Rope which made my Launca Coil performance. Then Otep, Atreyu, and Bleeding Through was up, so we went and walked around somemore and Tim ended up buying the Unearth Cd and was gonna get it signed at the jager tent, so we go over there and are standing around, in the end he decided not to wait in line, but here is the best part, standing around Unearth were 3 of the 5 shads, Jon, Matt, and Paul. That made Connecticut all worth it for me. So they were standng there as we were waiting in line to meet Lacuna Coil but then left early to get a good spot for LOG. Meeting Lacuna Coil was cool, most of them were talking to people and didn't really pay attention, but whatever, I got to meet most. and got 2 free autograph posters, 2 jager key chains, and a Lacuna Coil/jager shot glass. So we went and watched LOG's set which was by far the best of the day. Then Hatebreed came on, and of course I started to not feel good from all the amounts of sun. So while Tim was in the crowd I was sitting in the shade and up walks Shadows Fall and stand around for a few minutes. So nice. Then after hatebreed, there was a massive exodus of people which was so horrible because you were forced to rub against big sweaty guys. After that we got lunch and waited for BLS, which they were good, but Tim feel asleep for. Then SJR took the stage and were good, and Phil ended up vomiting on the stage. ANd from our seats you could see a walking strip type of thing that just seemed to host everyone in bands, which was cool. Then Dimmu took the stage, and weren't recieved as well as they could've been on second stage, but were'nt bad. After Dimmu was Slayer who were good, and they're set just flew by. Then was the start of the 75 minute Judas Priest set, after awhile of them we had just had enough and left. Made it home around 11. Ended up as a good day, got burnt though, the worst part though was I got pinched by some guy as we were going to get lunch, and it wasn't cool. Best part was LOG, Launca Coil, and seeing people in bands just walking through the crowd.
