Amorphis/Beyond the Embrace/Into Eternity Show

So Saturday night was the Amorphis/ Beyond the Embrace/ Into Eternity/ Single Bullet Theory Show.  We arrived at the Palladium around 8:20, and the guestlist was finally correct, so we got in nice and free.  The show was upstairs, and it being my first upstairs show, I discovered that there was an upstairs to the upstairs.  When we got there Single Bullet Theory were on their last song, but we planned on missing them because apparently their suck. So we go upstairs where I bough an into eternity shirt, finally.  Then it was time for Into Eternity, who just kicked my ass. They were so awesome. They played Beginning of the End, which is my favorite, so that made me happy. And honestly I forget the others but once Tim’s review is up I’ll steal his setlist if he has one. Also in the beginning I had this kickass view of the stage and all them, when this guy, probably over six feet tall came and stood right in front of me.  And then he turned around to make sure no one was behind him and just looked right over my head.  I felt short last night.

After them came Beyond the Embrace, who switched spots with IE for the night, due to this being their hometown show, because their from New Bedford.  They were good, but they still didn’t play Mourning in Magenta, which is my favorite song. But oh well I guess.  The singer also looked like someone, but I’m not sure who.  Then another guy came and stood right in front of me, but he was kinda short so I could still sorta see, but he kept backing up, making things uncomfortably close, because there were people behind me and I couldn’t back up anymore.  Anyway BTE ended up playing Bastard Screams, Against the Elements, Flesh Engine Breakdown. And various others I don’t know the names of.

After them it was time for Amorphis, who are just...weird? Like, their style kinda changes a lot I guess you could say.  Anyway we left after 4 or 5 songs and got some Wendy’s for the ride home. Boy do I love Wendy’s.
