Attraction or Subtraction?
This is a side note, but I found a "hot spot" in my house for wireless internet...so amazing. Does this mean I'm stealing?
The subject of attraction has been on my mind lately. Mostly because the past couple of weeks in CRU our topic has been on relationships and it has people talking about it. But what I am curious about is what attracts people and why? I've had the opportunity to ask a lot of my friends about this and no one can figure it out, or I haven't had any set in stone answers, which I'm okay with, cause it allows me to keep thinking. So the question is, what attracts you to other people? (preferably the opposite sex) Is it how they can work a crowd, if they wear glasses, if she loves to cook, or they have big wrist, are their teeth straight, does he have a beard, do they have freckles, or can she beat you at a game of basketball, do they make you laugh, does he like to hike, is he/she a challenge, do they have blue eyes, does your head reach his shoulders, does their intelligence make you melt, is she shy, or is he the loudest person in the room? These are all attractions that people have mentioned to me. And it is so intriguing to me to find out what attracts other people. Mostly because everyone has a different answer. Whether it is a phyiscal trait or a personality trait, everyone is attracted to something different. But what attracts you more; physical or personality? Also another question I posted to my friends during one of these discussions was to think about the crushes you've had or currently have.....Do they have similar traits? The answer they said was yes. Isn't that weird that whatever that trait is, it keeps occuring in someone you like. But why that trait? What is the meaning or why does that attract you. I can think back on guys that I have liked and yes there is a reoccuring theme that is in each guy. But what makes that attract me and would make others not interested? Is it why we are attracted to that certain trait in the other person because we are lacking in it ourselves? Oh the questions of life.
