Hot Hot Heat
no i'm not talking about the weather, but i could very well be.
i went to a kick ass free private concert put on by molson tonight with my friend shannon. they had some texting contest and she won a pass for 2 people and i got to go with her! there was an opening band called Fall Collection and they were actually good. they kept mentioning that they were from east van so we wouldn't forget or something. the lead singer was really good but he kept calling people sexy and saying the crowd was sexy every 5 seconds. it was annoying. theeeeeeeen Hot Hot Heat came on. they were totally awesome. i talked to someone once who'd said they'd seen them live before and they sucked. well i don't know what that person was on because they were phenominal. the instruments were tight and the lead singer did a great job. they played all their singles and a couple songs that are going to be on the new album. it was so much fun. and i finally got to hang out with my friend shannon! oh and i got a free beer with my free admission hahaha... i saw some people that i knew but not very well so i didn't say anything hehehe.
anyhoo, it was all in all a good time and tomorrow i get to hang out with my friend mikael who i haven't seen in probably more than a year.
they're working on my roof right now so i get to wake up to banging and sawing starting at 8am! awesome!
