(no subject)
My AC adaptor isn't charging the battery on my laptop anymore. I didn't notice this until after the battery had already run down (it probably came unplugged when I wasn't paying attention). Now the battery has no power left in it, so if the computer comes unplugged, it immediately shuts down. I'm lucky that it will still run when plugged in, but I don't know how long that will last. I'm getting a new laptop for school (they've got specific requirements that this one doesn't fit into), so I don't really want to spend money getting this one fixed for the third or fourth time in three years. Stupid piece of junk laptop. The problem is, of course, since it has to be plugged in all the time now, it's only a laptop in the sense that I can, in fact, hold it on top of my lap. It's not portable in any practical sense of the word anymore. Awesome.
