A small request for my LJ amigos and peeps today.
At some point today I'd like for you to think of or speak the number 14.2
14.2 is the percentage of chance that the Colorado Avalanche have of landing the 1st overall pick in the NHL draft lottery. If they're lucky they will move up from their current spot of 3rd overall pick and get the first. If it's a "bad" day someone else will move up in the order and the Avs will drop to 4th. More than likely -- as happens most years -- the order of the Top 5 will stay the same. But still...
14.2
14.2
14.2
Think it or find a way to use it in casual conversation.
Example:
Co-Worker: "Hey Sara, do you think there is any chance you could join me for lunch today?"
Sara: "Hmmm... I'm not sure (Tom) (Dick) (Harry)... maybe. I'd say there is a 14.2 percent chance we can make that happen."
Or, another example:
GOP Strategist: "Joe Intern... what is the latest approval rating for our party?"
Joe Intern: "According to the latest polls we're at 14.2 percent. Obama's at 77."
You get the drift.
14.2!
Thanks.
