I received official word this weekend.
Burning Man has accepted my proposal to light the structure under the Man (called the "funhouse" this year) with 250 feet of LEDs.
They've also asked me to design a room for the funhouse with lots of blinky lights, and lots of shiny (SHINY!) surfaces.
One thing I just decided: it will have to have a wi-fi connection to the control computer, so we can change the show anytime from anywhere in the city.
This is an awesome thing, though a little bit scary. The magnitude of it is still sinking in. Happy birthday to me. :)
I need a crew to help me put this up. Anyone who could spend a day or two the weekend before the event opens (Aug. 27-28) helping out, please contact me.
It'll be fun. I'll make it worth your while somehow. Also, if you have ideas for lighting patterns for the funhouse, talk to me.
Thanks.
