In which we see forward planning, a list and some unsual film choices
I'm trying to pretend it's still mid February instead of the reality which means I havn't posted a single solitary journal entry until March. I can't even remember when the last entry was.
Anyway it makes this entry seem even more out of place as it concerns Christmas. It wasn't brilliant this year, while Iffriel's family made it a pleasent one I couldn't shake of the weird feeling I got from it being the first away from the family. My folks ended up having Christmas Day on boxing Day after nursing my sister who was sick so I guess I dodged that bullet but still, it didn't seem special.
Don't get me wrong, for the most part of it was my own fault, Tons of special gigs were going on and I either didn't go to them because myself or Iffriel was skint or too tired from working every hour just to make rent. Yeah, yeah it's my own fault but I'm going to bitch anyway! Another thing was that didn't really consume Christmas this time. I don't mean tons of stuffing and mulled wine but gorging myself on chistmas music and perhaps more importantly, Christmas movies!
I've already, in a suprising bit of forward planning on my part, started making steps towards the ultimate Festive viewing package and bought "Christmas Vacation" after being reminded of it every single year by the brilliant nostalgia and pop culture website x-entertainment. In fact through a happy mishap with a forgotten voucher at work I managed to get this movie that was cheap at £1.50, absolutely free! I'm saving it and very much looking forward to it!
Anyway the best of the rest that I'm going to get my hands on watch by the start of 2010's festive, uhm, festivities! Any more suggestions please feel free to comment. Oh, the ones in italics are ones I already have in my collection.
