*After a week of playing around and getting used to it...*
Well. I officially have a new toy. Though not so much a toy as it is my new way of keeping in contact with everyone, doing artwork, making music vids...
Meet Jazz, my new laptop computer. Granted, yes, it's a Vista OS, but so far, it has been good to me. Everything uploaded well enough for me, and everything I use so far has not had any problems with it.
Now, how did I get it? Good question, considering my credit sucks ass...>.>;;
Well, one of my roommates helped me. They originally agreed to try and sign up for a Best Buy card with me...I was denied. -.- Then, after a decent time discussing a few things, he signed up for one, got approved, and agreed to let me buy the computer. Ended up costing $614.00 after tax, and all accessories I will be getting on Friday, provided I can afford it. Already, this computer is going to pay for itself. Here's why:
My other computer was an HP Slimline with only 448MB of Ram, and a 178Gig hard drive. I was paying $160.00 a month for it from Rent A Center. (I know, money wasted; I have heard that argument numerous times already, I just wanted to have a computer to keep in touch with everyone.) But with this, minimum payments are 20 dollars a month. Now, because of that, I am already saving money each month and I have a computer I want. I am going to actually be making payments of $100.00 a month, and get this paid for before the 6-month interest-free on the card runs out.
Now, I am going to have three separate ways of keeping track of my payments. One, I will be using Money Orders. The stub will be the first way. Then I will keep a record on both this computer, and on paper. This way, if he tries to say I never made my payment, I can show him the records. Therefore, it won't be my fault should the payment not go through. If all goes right, Jazz will be mine completely in six months. :3
So far, I already have several programs on this comp, and it still runs like it did the day I got it, about a week ago. I am really happy with it, and to make things even better, my Boss is letting me bring it to work, so long as I get all of my work done. There is a wireless connection in the area that I can ping off of, so I am currently connected to the net...
Yes, I am at work at the current point in time. This is my proof. I close today, 2:00-10:00pm, and it is currently 4:35pm.
So, that is my update for the moment. *SQUIBBLES* And yes, I named it Jazz. Any TF fan will get that. Sorry, but it just felt right. (When I am done transferring stuff over, this puter will have just over 5gigs of music.)
On another note, my story is taking it's time again, but that is because this chapter is gonna be kinda long, and I have to switch between several characters, throwing my mindset out of whack. Oh well. It will be done soon. :3
