Welcome Wagon

So I just recently moved here to Va and it's been pretty boring. I never thought I'd actually find somewhere worse than Columbia, but lo and behold, I did...There's nothing to do here and in order to get somewhere that is busy and offers a variety of things to do, I have to drive at least an hour. And even when I do get there, I'm let down everytime...I work an hour away from where I live and because of my job(s), it's dark when I leave and dark when I return. Yesterday was my first day as coach...it was fun to coach a sport I actually know something about...and I fulfilled my duties, hopped in the car around 7:10 pm and braced myself for the long drive home. Just as soon as I got on the main highway to take me home, a surprise buck came out of nowhere (I guess it didn't like my Eclipse as much as I did) and ran right into the right front side of my car...I screamed and slammed the brakes, I would have swerved if I could, but there was nowhere to swerve to, unless I wanted to end up in a ditch...I pulled over in a local parking lot and called my other half and my mom...of course my phone died in the middle of talking to her...so there I was, little lonely girl, in the middle of nowhere, parked in a deserted parking lot, waiting for my boyfriend to come get me (which obviously took an hour because I work oh so far away), with no phone and no way to contact anyone. I had just recently quit smoking (god what I would've done for a p-funk last night) so all I could do was get out and look at the damage to my car while I waited. I didn't expect my entire right headlight to be gone, my hood and fender bunched up like aluminum cans, and the amount of blood, brain matter, and deer fur to be splattered all over the side of my car...such an ironic picture, my grotesque deer-killer with the "animal friendly" license tags...

Welcome to Virginia...

P.S. I am physically okay...if you were wondering...
