Moving

So you would think that moving state to state wouldn't be so damn difficult seeing as how so many people do it. But getting everything prepared for the big move at the end of July has seriously been a hassle. I know it's been a LONG time since I've posted anything here, but I feel it's time I get back in touch. I'm moving to Lynchburg, VA in about 5 weeks and I'm very excited seeing as I've wanted to leave Cola, SC for a VERY LONG TIME (since I was 14). But I've had to deal with so much-getting a job in VA was just the start. That process started in January and I officially received a contract at the end of May! I thought that my anxiety would lessen now that I knew I had money coming in. But oh no-then the apartment hunt began. Dex and I went to one place we really liked and applied, only to be told later that they didn't have anything available :( Then this other complex gave us the run around and basically wanted us to sign over our souls or something to get an apartment with them. Finally, we got a place elsewhere that we really like, but that process took a good 3 weeks and we just signed the lease a few days ago. So now that a job and apartment are secured, I now have to get all this stuff prepared (records, etc.) for the DMV when we move. Thankfully, things are starting to come into place, but my advice to anyone who's thinking of moving out of state would be to get started early and plan ahead!

BTW, since Melissa and I will be leaving soon, we've been thinking about having a going away get together at our staple place in a few weeks...anybody game?
