Yes I read them and then loaned them out for more people to love the first and third. The second one is not as good as the bookends. You should read Jennifer Fallon's trilogy that starts with Medalion if you liked the Kushiel books.

Martin is, to this very day, my favorite author of all time. His series, "A Song of Fire and Ice" is more than a step or two beyond brilliant.
