HELLO LJ
Ack. I feel like I've been ignoring my lj. I haven't been updating about everything I've been doing~ Today I volunteered at the flu clinic at the fairgrounds. I signed up to work 4-6 pm, but when I got there at 4:00 (..okay 4:10, I was late.. sorry I'm late everywhere) everyone was running around, it was hectic. The first thing they had me do was put up a sign that said the flu clinic was closed because they ran out of the vaccine. LOL. So I'm like, hmmm looks like I came at a terrible time. The clinic was supposed to run from 2-6 pm, and in order to count it towards community service, which my Health Tech class requires, I have to work atleast 2 hours. So 4-6 was a good idea because I could get my newspaper route done then work.
So I spent an hour with two other people standing around at the entrance turning away people... saying "Are you here for the flu shot? Sorry we ran out..." They said that last year they vaccinated 150 people at the fairgrounds, and this year they had 450. We were supposed to count how many people we had to turn away, and we had one of those hand held counter things and it got up to 58 the last time I saw it. So there were a lot of people =x
We don't have school tomorrow, so FINALLY I can stay up as long as I want then sleep in!
