the weezer/ foo fighters show was AMAZING! one of my all time favorite shows ive ever seen....and thats saying a lot.
we missed the first band (kaiser cheifs) which i kinda wanted to check out but oh well i can always listen to a cd or something.
weezer's set was fucking AWESOME. they played EVERY song i wanted to hear, seriously. even ones i didnt think id have a chance in hell to hear. they were so awesome and cute and i love them. rivers went out in the crowd and sang island in the sun, it was so pretty. then they had some random kid out of the audience come on stage and play acoustic guitar to undone, and THEN they let him keep the fucking guitar he used. i thought that was prett damn cool. they played my favorites off of every album, i loved it. everyone was rockin out and it was just good vibes and so much fun.
except it was SO motherfucking hot in there. i thought i was gonna pass out a few times. oh well though.
then foo fighters come out. they did exactly what i knew and hoped they would, and started the set with the 1st song of the 1st cd of their new album...in your honor....which is one of those songs that as soon as you hear it you know they wrote it to begin the album with specifically and that it would be a perfect song to start a concert with. so that was awesome. dave grohl is beautiful even when he looks like hes 2 inches tall from my seat. they played a lot of good ones. they did more like jamming out type stuff so they didnt play an assload of songs but that was really cool as well. dave did the most BEAUTIFUL version of everlong, all slow and all by himself, it was soooooo pretty. i had a little bit of a tear in my eye for that. i wonder if i can find a downloadable version of it. should have recorded it on my phone. oh well. then dave got on drums and taylor hawkins sang cold day in the sun and i was like YESSSSSS i didnt think theyd play that one but its one of my favorites on the new album, and i wanted to see dave play drums SO bad. so that was wonderful. they did a great encore but right now i cant remember what they played. dave went around into the crowd which was cool, except he didnt come make out with me so that was not cool.
but it was a great time, a great concert. im SO fucking glad i didnt miss that. ill never forget it.
