Can anyone tell me why Pat Benatar and Meat Loaf never did a duet together? I mean, c'mon! And I'm not talking the standard Meat Loaf "duet" where he gets all the good parts and the female voice is merely an afterthought. I'm talking even steven Pat and Meat going at it about love, deception, passion and rock 'n roll (each of their's forté, in my opinion).
This was sparked by continuous listening to "Promises in the Dark" by Pat Benatar. An awesomely Jim Steinman influenced rocker.
And for those of you who are thinking, "Hey, it's not too late! Both of them are still around, singing their hearts out. It could happen!"....no. It can't. I'm picky and I want this fantasy duet to involve Crimes of Passion era Pat Benatar and Meat Loaf before he lost his voice during Dead Ringer (so right after the original Bat Out of Hell would be great).
The end.
