Can anyone tell me what "meme" stands for? I see it everywhere and I have no clue. I know it signifies stupid surveys, lists and so on... but what does it mean?

Also, I'm considering setting a mission for myself to post a poem a day for a month. Maybe it'll make livejournal interesting. These will mostly be poems I love and desperately want to share, but maybe I'll throw in a few of my own creation. Thoughts? (Which reminds me to remind Florence to remind me to ask for those Brian Andreas books back from you before you vanish to New York!)
