Will the Dead mind?

I need to change my last name. Maybe even my first name...well, no, just the last one. Any suggestions?
Every possibility floating around in my head is either really pretentious or will sound ridiculous when I wake up tomorrow. Jesse Ambrose. Jesse David (a little too biblical for my liking, but the sanest choice so far). I used to be really good at thinking of names. Perhaps I'll go to the cemetery later - I don't think the Dead will mind if I steal their names. I know I'd be honored if a random kid was strolling around and upon seeing my head stone was like "Hey, that's the one!" and such and so on and so forth.
I haven't been thinking very clearly recently. I wonder what that means. When I was younger (elementary school) I thought of changing my last name to Odranid...at the time I thought I was super clever for spelling my last name backwards. So clever. Later that day I drew a picture of a dragon/monster and named him Odranid and he was a gloriously clever creature.
