damn i love that Green Day song. but my favorite all time song still remains,
When I Come Around. i was about to leave their concert in disgust
because they didn't play it, and was, in fact, heading for the door
when (during their second encore) i heard the opening riffs-- melodious as fuck and stinging clear in my concert numbed ears...
i echo the words of Deftones' chacko re: weezer, "i love that band. any song, any song from that band."
anyway. so Houston during the break is a good place to be.
i'm going to Austin tomorrow to see robyn. maybe i'll say 'hey' to the Jaminator if he's around,
but my cell phone charger is in Huntsville-- alas, alas. . .
and Chicago has been cancelled :( blaaaah....
but you know what they say?

Have been reading lots of Rimbaud poetry lately.
His prose/poems ( Les Illuminations) are absolutely
amazing, but i like his simpler poems very much as well,
and am absolutely enamored with Une Saison en Enfer (A Season In Hell)
and am thinking about either titling my screenplay based on one of his poems, or else having the
Ivan character clearly reading Une Saison en Enfer in one or more scenes. . . a great little
book of poetry, Rimbaud's swan song actually, which I heartily recommend.
As Kerouac has led me to Rexroth and Rexroth to Hart Crane, and Crane to Rimbaud, so Rimbaud leads me to Baudelaire and Verlaine... but for now, Les Illuminations...
