...and so God gave you a mouth from which to drink,
a throat from which to speak,
and the lungs with which to breathe,
as he hurled you down from the glossy heights,
a falling stone to passers by, and you tumbled towards the Earth
wishing for a chance to catch your breath
that seems just as fleeting as the moments in time that you left behind,
a past disappearing just as the flame of a burning match to the wind.
and he said live, live just as I have intended for you.
And with that he vanished from your sight,
keeping to your memories as you hurried through your life,
always searching for his presence in and out of light,
but only catching glimpses and thinking otherwise.
And this is how we contradict his blessing,
rupturing the paradigms instilled within our consciousness,
running free of the bindings of design,
taking charge of our lives,
surpassing his intentions.
Beautifying, life.
