(no subject)
School is crazy! It's almost the end of the semester and boy is the work piling up. These professors seem to think that we are only taking one class, and that we dont have lives outside of grad school! And I'm not the only one with gripes. You should hear the other students in my classes.
I haven't worked in forever. I had last Thursday and Friday off because of the NJEA Convention in Atlantic City. I was invited to go to the convention, but decided not to go. I just wasn't the right week for me, wtih Uncle Richie dying and all. I took Monday off to recouperate from the family festivites over the weekend, and ended up taking Tuesday and Wednesday as well for various doctors appointments, and visits to social services. That is like a 7 day weekend!
The funeral was on Friday. Dillon was a hit. He managed to keep the spirits as high as they possibly could be, especially when he decided to poop in the middle of the ceremony. Imagine this, quite and somber room. Tears everywhere. Minister saying a few loving words. And Dillon.. Grunting beyond belief, and turning redder than ever. Man, did that shit stink! Giggles errupted from all over, and me.. I was downright hysterical.
Mom's surprise party was Saturday. The plan went off without a hitch. She was super surprised, didn't suspect a thing! She cried. I was pretty darned proud of myself for coming up with such an awesome idea. I'd tell you all how old she is, but she might get mad at me. Ok. I'll tell you anyway. She's 50. :)
I wanted to go see Trey the other night at the Tower, but wasn't feeling well at all. One of the girls from school and I were planning on going, and it totally slipped my mind in my exhaustion. I hope she won't be too mad that I didn't call her! I guess I'll find out tonight when I get up there.
On that note, I should probably get on the road. I'll leave you with some photos, because I know you love them so much.
