I made a Patreon page--I'm posting Incarnations, the first book in my fantasy series called Wildwood Rising. Incarnations is an LGBTQIA+ fantasy/mystery/police procedural, and Wildwood Rising as a whole will be an LGBTQIA+ fantasy series. For my patreon page, there aren't reward tiers; any amount you donate will give you anything I release. Also,

These are her books, if you want to check them out. The Outlands is super intense (and violent, but I don't think you'll mind) and I can't wait for Book 4. There's a major m/m pairing starting in Book 3.
If you want more activity on your LJ, the more recent friending meme is here. There's one somewhere on the self-pub comm too... here.
Yes, I remember there was a way to download LJ, but I've never used it and I don't remember its name. People tend to just export everything to Dreamwidth these days. I don't have an account there, but I know that if you create one, there's an option to import your LJ.

So, I asked nemophilist if you could either do a promo post about your chapters on the self-pub comm or maybe do a discussion post about Patreon, since other authors might be interested in your feedback.
She said to tell you to make the promo post and she'll tag it 'writing in progress', like The Pickwick Papers. :-)
She was also interested in a discussion post about Patreon because she didn't know about it.

So I might wait to post anything over there until I know for sure because then I can also include an FYI about scheduled updates there. But in the meantime I can start thinking about the Patreon discussion idea. Are you thinking something just basically explaining Patreon in overview, and why authors might decide to join, or might decide not to? Like the pro/cons of it?
Thanks for making sure I saw this :)

Sounds good to me.

Yep, that's exactly it. Post a link to your Patreon as an example, and you can say what you've just told me, that you'll make a post about the story once you've decided on a schedule. I suppose the schedule aspect is an important aspect of Patreon, that might bring some pressure, or on the contrary some motivation, to authors?
Don't worry about tagging your posts, nemophilist is the one who adds the tags.
