I'm interested in any documentaries/movies (preferred) or books/whatnot that are as accurate as possible (or at least more realistic) about France in the 1980s and 1990s.
Specifically, I'm interested in things like the school system, what it would be like growing up there, etc. If there are private vs public schools, I would especially be interested in a realistic take on private schooling, and if there are any gender-based ones then in an all-girls' school. (Right now I am way too tired to do proper research to see if all girls schools are prevalent or not)
I am also interested in France in the 1950's to 1980's.
I realize the 80's and 90's aren't that long ago but I want to find things that are actually accurate.
Unfortunately, since I don't know French well enough, anything that's in French would need English subtitles...
Does anyone have any recommendations at all for me? I would love and appreciate anything to look into! Or perhaps if you know a good place to go ask such a question where there may be a lot of people with recommendations that would also rock.
