They were like two ships passing in the night as clichéd as it sounded. Yet there was an undeniable attraction between them as they raced against time to solve the case together. She realized with a jolt that she had feelings that went beyond respect and like for Miami-Dade’s Horatio Caine. Catherine momentarily lost herself in a daydream about transferring from Las Vegas. A warm smile formed on her lips as she thought about learning more about the intense man. She quickly shook her head as if to clear her mind of useless daydreams. Her life was in Las Vegas and his was in Miami and there was nothing that could or would change that.
