FIC: Tension 1/1, FR13, Faith/Willow
Title: Tension

Summary: Willow feels something for Faith that she knows she shouldn’t feel.
In the Mayor’s office, Faith gives the untouchable Willow a wicked smile that causes Willow to feel the sharp tinge of terror. She knows that she’s not safe and that even if Buffy and Angel manage to rescue her, it’ll still be too late. She instinctively takes a step backwards away from Faith. The brunette doesn’t advance; instead she merely crosses her arms against her chest while she drinks in the sight of Buffy’s precious friend.
“Afraid Willow?” Faith casually asks.
“N-no not really,” Willow answers, a slight tremble betraying her lie.
“Surely B’s been filling your head about how horrible I am.”
“I’ve faced worse monsters than you.”
“Monster? Is that what B and her fancy Watchers call me?”
“No.”
“But you think I’m a monster, don’t ya?” Faith demands as she closes the space between them.
“I do,” Willow defiantly responds.
“There’s not much difference between me and your precious little Buffy. We’re both killers on the inside.”
Willow closes her eyes as Faith’s hand suddenly and tightly grips her chin. The red head refuses to yield to Faith, to show her any sign of vulnerability. Nonetheless a single tear manages to escape and Willow shudders as Faith licks it away. Willow’s not sure why she shudders so violently, yet when Faith pulls her into her arms and violently kisses her, Willow finds herself responding to the kiss.
She doesn’t fight the Slayer; instead she wraps her arms around Faith’s waist. It’s completely different than all of the other kisses that Willow’s experienced before. It’s all lips, teeth and tongues. It’s about a forbidden and denied need and it’s suddenly over when Faith abruptly pushes her away. Willow’s hip hits the corner of the Mayor’s desk and the sharp pain makes her come to her senses. She pushes down the long-hidden feelings for the brunette and bravely meets Faith’s eyes.
“If I didn’t know better Red, I’d think you might have liked it. I wonder what B would say if she found out that you liked kissing me.”
Before Willow can respond, the door to the office suddenly opens and the Mayor saunter in. He takes in the sight of the two flushed young women before him and his mouth starts to open as if he’s about to say something before snapping close. And just like that, the sexual tension between Willow and Faith evaporates and Faith becomes a different person in front of Willow’s eyes. Willow knows that whatever happened between the two of them will never happen again and a small part of her regrets that.
