I promised iheartnickcath some Catherine/Nick fic tonight and as I was posting other stuff, I came across this fic, which I'd written for her sometime ago but it'd been collecting dust.

Summary: Nick and Catherine share their first kiss.
Nick’s gentle brush of his lips against her lip jolts Catherine’s body into a sense of awareness of him as more than just a friend and a co-worker. His arms tighten around her as his kiss turns from gentle into passionate and she can’t quite remember when she last felt this intensity with anyone.
Her hands move, seemingly of their own violation, to hold his head so that he can’t break the kiss. She moves closer to him and makes an inarticulate sound of desire as his tongue traces the curve of her bottom lip.
They break apart only to move in for another kiss. They both know that they are about to cross a line that will forever change things between them. Once they cross that line, neither of them will be able to turn back and resume their easy friendship. Yet neither of them really wants that anymore, especially not after experiencing the intense awareness and instant passion of their first kiss.
