Summary: What if the spell to get rid of Angel's soul actually worked?
It’s a silly time to learn to swim, when you start to drown.
The spell had worked just as she had planned and Angelus was released. Yet everything else that Faith had planned had been destroyed because she had miscalculated the vampire. Angelus didn’t want to work for the Mayor nor did he want to play by Faith’s rules. Instead he had given her an offer that she couldn’t refuse: either she obey his every command or she died.
Ever since the night when the spell had been cast, Faith had felt like she was drowning under a very heavy set of invisible chains. She had two demanding masters, both of whom expected her complete loyalty. And she desperately wanted to run back to Buffy so that the more experienced Slayer could fix everything that Faith had broken.
Every time that Angelus smirked at her before slapping her on the ass, and every time the Mayor treated her like a beloved daughter, Faith found herself sinking further underneath the surface. She was losing everything and she desperately wanted to find a way to save herself from drowning but there was no one to throw her a rope so that she could pull herself out.
