Summary: It becomes so easy to deny her destiny.
At first she had thought that denying what she was would be a hard thing. She didn’t think that she’d be able to walk away from a monster or someone being attacked by one. But after her first week in L.A., she’s discovered that it’s so easy to deny who and what she was. She’s just another nameless runaway in a city that’s full of runaways. She’s learned that no one really cares about why you ran away and she’s grateful for the anonymity. Even the vampires leave her alone, so the few weapons she did bring with her remain in her bag tucked under the bed of the cheap motel where she rents her room by the week. She can be anyone she wants to be and she never wants to be Buffy Summers, or the Slayer again. As far as she’s concerned that person died the night that she had to run a sword through her soul mate so that she could save the world from another apocalypse.
