Two Faith/Angel drabbles both written for Fanfic100
I decided to take a bit of pity on my friends list and rather than spam you with more evidence of my productivity, I thought I'd double up on some of these drabbles. A lot of these were written in January and February, when I was having some issues with my laptop (not that I am still not having issues, but with the warmer weather, it's easier to take the time to type these fics up in my basement where my desktop is housed.) Anyhow without further babbling from me, on to the fanfiction....
Title: Running Away

Faith had gone to Sunnydale for one simple reason and it wasn’t to help Buffy save the world. Instead she had left with Willow because it had allowed her to run away without being too obvious. If only things were different for Faith and then she wouldn’t have to run away, instead she could keep Angel for herself. However, she couldn’t be that close to him knowing that he cared about her but he would never ever love her. And that was the problem; Faith had lost her heart to the vampire with a soul a very long time ago and she was afraid that if she worked with him, he would learn about her feelings. It had been hard enough to hide her true feelings when they had been under the effects of the drug and she had been in his dreams. She knew that she would never be able to hide her feelings from him if she worked with him and lived under the same roof as he did. Something would give her true feelings away and then she would be lost. So she had jumped at the chance to return to Sunnydale. Facing an angry Buffy by far was the lesser for two evils for Faith, and if she had her way Angel would never discover what she felt for him.

Faith had hidden the fact that she was in love with Angel for so long that she even believed in her own lie. It wasn’t until Wesley had come to her because he had needed a Slayer who was strong enough to kill Angel if need be, that she was forced to accept her feelings for the vampire. As she got dressed in the clothes that Wesley had brought her, she promised herself that she no matter what happened, she’d bring Angelus in alive so that he could be resouled. She hated the fact that she had the same weakness, as Buffy when it came to the dark-haired vampire, but she knew that the world needed Angel back and destroying Angelus would destroy Angel as well. Faith cursed under her breath as she lied to herself once again when it came to Angel. If she was more honest with herself, she’d admitted that she really didn’t care about what the world needed. She couldn’t kill Angelus because he looked like Angel and because of the fact that as long as he walked the earth there was hope that Angelus could be re-cursed with this soul again
