This weekend has been super busy and eventful - I'm not ready to go back to work tomorrow!
All morning Saturday, I cleaned the house. Insane deep clean - using a steam carpet cleaner and everything! It is amazing how nice the entire house looks now and it makes me happy.
In the afternoon yesterday, my mom, sister, Charley and I went to my university's Centennial Festival. We did a loop around and hung out for a bit, and it was a nice time.
My mom, sister and I then had McDonald's for dinner (yum! I love the nuggets...haha) and I went to Dave's. Dave's mom, dad, John, and Lisa were going to a local Japanese restaurant's 20th anniversary party celebration, but Dave wasn't interested. His cousin had made him his favorite Syrian dish so he ate that for dinner. Dave and I then went out for Italian ice. When we got back to the house, Dave, his mom and dad and I watched the movie "August Rush" together. It was cute.
This morning, my mom and I joined Dave's family at his church for a mass in honor of the father. His father is sick so it was nice to be there for this special service. After the service, we all hung out in the church common room for their brunch.
I then came home, changed and did some more cleaning (a room I hadn't gotten to the previous day)
Dave then called me - he was going to go fishing with his dad yesterday, but ended up going with his friend Martin instead. Today, his father didn't feel well enough to go, so he asked me to go bike riding with him at a local park. I said yes, but was kinda tentative about it since I'm not a great bike rider - but we had a lot of fun! It was great exercise and we had a blast chatting and hanging out. And I saw two Boston terriers while there! What a day!
Now I am at home, and about to go eat dinner at Alyson's and Jim's house. When I get back, I need to edit a video for work that has to be completed by tomorrow morning. It was a busy weekend, but a lot of fun!
