Today is a day off for me! Woohoo!

I have utilized the day off so far to clean the living room and the kitchen. I have also done a few loads of laundry, changed my sheets and emptied the dishwasher. Wow - what a day! Cleaning the kitchen included vacuuming all crevices under the cabinets, and using water/lysol mixture with a sponge and sanitizing the floor. I also cleaned part of the bathroom off the family room. Productive day!

Being August 1st, I logged into my ING Direct savings account (who am I kidding - I log in daily!) and saw that I earned $16.40 interest in the month of July. Sweet. My total in interest for the year (account opened March 1, 2008) is $75.45. 3% interest on a savings account nowadays? I'll take it. I've mentioned this before, but would anyone like an invitation to open one? If you begin your account with $250, you get a $25 bonus, and I get $10 for referring you. (My $75 interest includes $25 for opening and $10 cause one of my friends opened one when I referred them. Pretty good deal though - it's an extra $75 for me!)

Kristie - I thought of suggesting this to you after your comment yesterday. Let me know if you're interested - I find it's a great way to save money, and I love watching it grow, hahahaha. I'm twisted though...

I plan on swimming at some point in the day. My freelance web work is basically all caught up - I'm waiting for some more info from a few clients before I really have to do any more work. It's a nice feeling.

I also have a confession to make:

My bags from my mini-vacay to LBI last week are still packed. I unpacked one Vera Bradley large bag - that had my cell phone charger, some shoes, books, etc. But my large VB duffel with all my clothing? It's sitting in the middle of my floor. I should get to work on that as well today!

It's also August 1, so I need to put in my Webkinz pet of the month! (the clydesdale) I'll do that later, but it is exciting!

I wrote a whole spiel yesterday on my townhouse taxes not being too high - well, I got the new tax information for the upcoming year, and they jumped by $900 for the year. Ouch. Oh well, I do what I gotta do...

Updates on my 101 in 1001:
#28 - I finished painting the LBI kitchen completely, 7.27.08
#8 - I am employed!!
#92 - In July, I finished book #4 of Harry Potter. 3 more to go!

The extra goals:
#104 - I have one book left in the 18 part Agatha Raisin Series
#109 - I forgot to update before - I passed the chemistry waiver exam as part of my graduate program.

Not too shabby - that's a semi-decently productive month. Some of the goals left on there aren't all that important (anymore? never were?) but I'd still like to make my way through the list as much as possible. Other goals have come up now that appear to be more important, but I'm still going to attempt to do as many items on the list as possible.

Back to cleaning.
