It's a beautiful day outside, and I'm wearing my J Crew zebra knit dress. Love it. I also am wearing sunglasses for like, the first time in ages. When I go into the city, I always forget to wear them, and also, don't want to have to carry them around once I'm indoors. They're a pain. But today they are necessary, and it makes me so happy to think that the warm weather is back in season!
My cousin Chris emailed me a chance to stay at his parent's timeshare in Hawaii this summer for a WONDERFUL price for 8 days. I told Dave about it and I know it won't happen since we have a lot of weddings to go to this summer and my work situation is iffy/unknown, but we were both really interested in going! And I'd LOVE to go, but it won't happen. Hmph. Sad. But, it would have been wonderful...
Today I'm working at the art gallery and things are going slow. Some other days it is action packed. Today is just not one of those days.
I have a wedding shower to go to this weekend which should be pleasant. I also want to completely finish my MSU thesis so I can graduate from MSU, at least...haha. I am up to about 30 pages and just need to add a bit more information and finalize the conclusion. Then I will be finished with that project! I can then send it off to my advisor for last edits/or completion. That will make me feel so much more calm and relieved. What was I thinking doing two MA programs? None of the work that I have had to do alone is hard, but it's just the time requirements and the fact that there is a lot coming at me. And I'm basically "over" school, so all I want to do this weekend is head to either my parents' shore house or the condo with Dave and enjoy the nice weather! I'd love to be on the beach this weekend...(except for the fact that it might rain...that might put a damper on the festivities...)
Stephanie bought a new car - a convertible! I bet she's really enjoying it today! (Both Dave and Stephanie bought cars in the past 3 weeks - how random! And Dave's best friend/and wife did as well. Guess the economy is fairing pretty well in Northern NJ, lol??)
I stayed up late last night doing edits for a client. After I finish the rest of the edits, the page should be ready to go live. We've been working on it for a while, so it will be nice to finalize it all and publish it. I'm excited! I'm really happy with the way it came out!
I also have a string of new clients to contact, which makes me even happier! Every time business is going well, it makes me worry that it won't continue on. Fortunately, things have been going strong, so I can just be thankful for that! I guess all business owners worry about that!! At least my overhead is minimal, unlike other businesses!!
So yeh. This weekend, the goal is to enjoy the bridal shower, finish my MSU thesis, finish the edits to the site, complete the logo package for another client, and work on some other FIT homework just to get ahead. I think I can handle that. I also want to use the new vacuum cleaner a lot just cause it makes me feel like I'm really sanitizing the house every time I turn it on. Dyson Ball Cyclone. Get it. You'll be impressed!
Dave and I were driving around the other day, and he's like, "oh for sale!" It's a house we've both always liked -
real estate listing here I wish this could be our starter home, lol. It's a few blocks from my parents' house and something I always liked. Hmph.
Edit - I've continued to look at real estate to pass the time. This is on my street in LBI - anyone want to live by me? hahaha. The house needs a lot of work though.
$729,000 Fixer-Upper I'm pretty sure the exterior is asbestos shingles. At least ours was when it was first built - they just haven't updated it. Yikes.
