This evening, my church held a seder dinner for the church community. My mom and I went last year since we thought it would be interesting - and it was! So, we decided to go again this year. We got on the parkway and were planning on going to the dinner, and I was even thinking that I would get to stop by my townhouse...but it never happened. The rain was terrible, and there were accidents, and after an hour of driving, we were 15 miles from my house. It was ridiculous. So, we turned around and ended up going to a fabric store instead. There aren't a whole lot of fabric stores near my house, so it was a bit out of the way, but it was totally worth it. I ended up buying fabric for this dress:
It's green and has like, painted flowers on it? It's really hard to describe, but it was on super sale, and since the pattern calls for a lot of fabric (7 yards total) I needed something that wouldn't hurt my check book. I'm excited about it, and I hope to be able to start working on it tomorrow. Or, at least by the weekend.
So, we arrived back home around 8 and I hadn't eaten dinner yet and was starving. I then had lasagna and did some more freelance work and emails. Then, Dave stopped by and we watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding, even though we've both seen it many, many times.
So, the church seder would have been better for me culturally, but the fabric shopping was a lot of fun!
I was able to photocopy 5 chapters of the chemistry book today which was wonderful. Tomorrow I hope to get at least another 5 copied. Ha.
Also, my boyfriend's brother met John Travolta today, in the gym! It turns out they live in the same city. Fancy. John said he was super friendly and chatty, which is nice to know!
